![]() Our hosted Exchange environments are housed in two Tier 4, geographically dispersed data centres in North America, providing highly secure physical infrastructure, including the latest in biometric authentication, video surveillance, and around-the-clock security officers. These centres have been engineered to eliminate any single point of failure, with multiple layers of redundancy in power systems, HVAC, and fire detection and suppression. The data centres systems are monitored via their own individual Network Operations centres (NOC). The Tier 4 data centres' network designs began with a very simple premise: the current Internet architecture is flawed. Most of the major networks connect to each other through public NAPs (Network Access Points), and private peering connections. As a result, most connections between Internet users and websites are routed through congested and overloaded data exchanges. The data centres' network dramatically reduces the number of device hops needed to reach an IP destination by connecting directly to the major backbone networks and ISPs. They deliver the shortest possible route between your server and your users, regardless of location. |
