The Client
Established nearly 20 years ago, Equinox Development Inc. is an extremely respected name in residential and commercial renovations, alterations, and construction throughout the Greater Toronto Area. Their 20 full-time employees work with an equal number of contract resources on as many as 10 individual projects at any one time, and complete upwards of 20 projects in an average year. Success in their business demands seamless and timely communications between co-workers, customers, suppliers, and sub-contractors alike.

The Situation
Still heavily reliant on manual systems for maintaining such basic information as contact lists, email coordinates, telephone numbers and the like, and unable to share mission-critical data in an efficient and secure manner, Equinox decided they simply had to find a solution that provided them with a means to more efficiently coordinate their ongoing project activities, and share information quickly and securely.

Remote communications capability and web-based access to this solution were also important considerations.

The Solution
On a recommendation by 360 Visibility, Equinox opted to standardize on the Microsoft Outlook communications platform, and subscribe to their Hosted Exchange service. Built for large enterprises but priced for very constrained IT budgets, this solution gave them a fully current, cost-efficient, and secure way to organize and coordinate their myriad of project activities both now and well into the future.

The new system was up and running in a matter of days, and project efficiency began to climb like never before.
