Hamilton Port Authority’s strategic vision is to be “The Great Lakes Port of Choice.” Visited by more than 700 vessels every year, the Hamilton Port Authority handles more than 12-million tonnes of cargo, making it the busiest port on the Canadian Great Lakes.
The central business and primary source of revenue of the port is to manage and lease its property assets. The port’s 600 acres of land includes 150,000 square feet of office space and 2-million square feet of warehouse space – cargo vessels are accommodated via 9,000 metres of wharf.
Before 360 Visibility
Hamilton Port Authority was using a rental management solution that was poor in design and lacked the ability to oversee their extensive portfolio. Users found the software extremely limiting and ill-suited for their required tasks.

Implementing Dynamics NAV and 360 Property Management Software
360 Visibility approached Hamilton Port Authority with a two-phased solution. First was to upgrade their aging system to Dynamics NAV. Second was to implement the new and unique 360 Property Management Software. The combination of these two efforts provided all the extensibility and familiarity of Dynamics NAV with the critical property management functionality that the Hamilton Port Authority needed.
The integrated solution was implemented in less than three months. The clean design and logical flow of 360 Property Manager have greatly simplified the data management and reporting processes of the Hamilton Port Authority.

Moving Forward
360 Visibility is continuing to customize the 360 Property Management Software application to align with the port authority’s unique needs; meanwhile, the Hamilton Port Authority is finding success in its seamless functionality.
