Savage Arms has been a customer of 360 Visibility since 2004, and is a leading gun manufacturer with operations in USA and Canada. 360 Visibility initially implemented Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains Software for their company-wide accounting solution.

With recent Microsoft Cloud technology, Savage Arms now has the ability to transform their legacy accounting software with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central in order to increase productivity, automate workflows, enhance business processes and innovate with the Microsoft Cloud platform.

Current Situation & Challenges

Savage Arms’ Microsoft Partner – 360 Visibility – initially implemented Dynamics GP in 2004 and provided on-going support as well as an upgrade to the latest Dynamics GP version in 2013. With the current Dynamics Great Plains 2013 now end-of-life and no longer receiving updates or security fixes from Microsoft, Savage Arms was faced with two upgrade paths: upgrade to Dynamics GP 2018 on-premises, or upgrade to Business Central online.

Understanding the benefits of cloud solution, Savage Arms opted to upgrade Great Plains to the latest version of Business Central. The Business Central upgrade process will provide Savage Arms with greatly enhanced functionality, efficiency, security, and productivity.

In addition, several legacy in-house functions for manufacturing and quality assurance are now available natively in Business Central, thereby simplifying their application code ensuring optimal connectivity with other Microsoft solutions being used, such as, Office 365 and Azure Cloud.

This is achieved through the implementation of new modules in Dynamics 365 Business Central for:
