Implementing Azure AD Application Proxy for Secure, Scalable Remote Access
To address these challenges, 360 Visibility proposed and implemented Azure AD Application Proxy for Rising Ground’s Remote Desktop Services. Azure AD Application Proxy offered a secure, scalable solution that met all of Rising Ground’s needs. By leveraging this technology, Rising Ground was able to publish their RDS applications to external users securely, without exposing the RDS server to the public internet. This approach significantly reduced the risk of unauthorized access and eliminated the need for VPNs, streamlining the remote access process for users.
Key features of the solution included geo-blocking to restrict access by location, enforced Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) to protect against credential theft, and enhanced server security by eliminating direct public access. The implementation process was smooth and collaborative, involving thorough assessment, pilot deployment, and comprehensive training for both IT staff and end-users.
